What information is required to apply for the rebate and/or loan?
Your accredited vendor will guide you through the application, but having the right information ready will speed up the process. Two groups of information are needed:
- Vendor‑provided information – Your installer must supply technical details about your system: battery energy‑storage system (BESS) specifications (capacity and brand), inverter and battery make and model, National Metering Identifier (NMI) number for your property, estimated rebate amount, your energy retailer (Synergy or Horizon Power) and the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) partner you’ll be joining. The vendor also confirms that all equipment is on the approved lists and that the system will be installed after 1 July. In addition the installer will enter your full name, email address, mobile number and installation address. Please ensure that these details are correct and match your identifying documents to seamlessly be identified and conditionally approved for a rebate.
- Customer‑provided information – If you’re using the no‑interest loan, Plenti will ask for: the loan amount and term you’re requesting. For both Rebate and no-Interest Loan, identification documents (driver’s licence or passport) are required in order to conditionally approve the applicant’s home into the scheme. Additional information required in the no-interest Loan includes your household income and employment details (e.g., payslips, tax return or pension statement); and a breakdown of your regular expenses and financial commitments. Supplying accurate information helps Plenti assess your eligibility and prevents delays.
